The graphic is styled like a page from an old naturalist's field guide, an arched Muskoka Loon Study wordmark, a common loon illustrated mid glide past a string of pine covered islands, and a border of cattails on either side. A circular field stamp marks it Muskoka, Ontario, dated May 24, the unofficial start of cottage season for a reason. Handwritten notes fill in the rest: calm morning, clear water, light breeze, heard before seen. A single feather and the entry number finish it off like a real logged specimen.

This one is for the dock sitters, the early risers, the canoe paddlers who cut the engine just to listen, and anyone who has ever tried, and failed, to explain what a loon call actually sounds like to someone who has never heard one in person.
